Air Jordan 9 Retro Low ‘What the Kilroy’ Release Date IV6476-010

Nike, Inc.’s Jordan Brand is delving into its 2010s archive for a special new Air Jordan 9 style which combines six different cult classic colorways.

In the latest instance of the label reviving relatively obscure 2000s and 2010s looks, Jordan Brand will turn a “what if?” concept into a “what the?” theme as it brings back 2012’s Air Jordan 9 “Kilroy Pack.” The six-sneaker collection will return for the first time in 2026, but this time around, it’s been combined into one shoe as the Air Jordan 9 Low “What the Kilroy.”

Mixing all six colorways from the ’12 collection into one, the upcoming release uses the black nubuck and mesh found on the “Johnny Kilroy” Air Jordan 9 colorway on the upper and tongue of the right shoe, while the “Motorboat Jones” colors inform the bright red upper and black shoelaces of the left shoe.

The pack’s navy-and-yellow “Calvin Bailey” style adds details to the liner and mudguard of the right shoe, while the “Fontay Montana” pair adds a white outsole and laces to the right shoe. The mismatched combination is completed on the left shoe with the black and university blue shades of the “Slim Jenkins” colorway filling in the liner and mudguard and the white and gold of the “Bentley Ellis” makeup coloring the tongue and outsole.

Along with the asymmetrical color blocking, the “What the Kilroy” Air Jordan 9 Low has a number of unique details including tongue labels referencing each colorway’s nickname, gold Jumpman-branded heel badges and clashing “23” and “4” heel embroidery.

The Johnny Kilroy theme originated from a Nike, Inc. marketing campaign around the Air Jordan 9 following Jordan’s first retirement from the NBA in 1993. Based around the fictional character of Kilroy, who had an uncanny resemblance to Jordan, the playful commercials imagined a world where Jordan hadn’t actually retired from the league, but had instead gone incognito under various aliases. Jordan Brand would later bring the story back for the ’12 collection, which included six different styles, each representing Jordan’s made-up monikers.

According to @zsneakerheadz and @brandon1an, the Air Jordan 9 Retro Low What the Kilroy will be released this fall with an expected retail price of $180 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Jordan Brand retailers. The sneaker’s full colorway is Black/University Blue/University Gold/Dark Cayenne/Challenge Red/Deep Royal Blue and its style code is IV6476-010.
