The “This Is Me Takes Saginaw” event returns for its second year, promoting empowerment and self-expression for youth and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event, spearheaded by Shortorah Carter and Tracy Palmer, will feature a fashion show with participants walking the runway in designer outfits and showcasing their talents. The event aims to demonstrate that “disability is not inability” and provides an opportunity for those with disabilities to shine. Registration for participants and vendors is open until March 18, with the event taking place on April 27 at the Buena Vista Community Center.
The ‘This Is Me’ special needs fashion show is returning to Saginaw to celebrate inclusivity and showcase the talent of individuals with special needs.
