PARIS – LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s open-doors event Les Journées Particulières is back after a four-year hiatus.
Speaking at the French luxury group’s annual general meeting in Paris on Thursday, Antoine Arnault, director of image, communication and environment at LVMH, announced the sixth edition would take place worldwide from Oct. 16 to 18.
The event takes place roughly every two years, but was paused during the coronavirus pandemic and in 2024, when Paris hosted the Summer Olympics, of which LVMH was a premium partner.
The last edition in 2022 drew 200,000 visitors to 96 sites in 15 countries, including the Dior haute couture workshops on Avenue Montaigne and the Tiffany jewelry workshop in New York City.
Arnault conceived of the days as a showcase for houses’ inner workings, with the added ambition of inspiring visitors to join the ranks of its specialized craftspeople amid a dearth of skilled workers in areas like leather goods.
The theme of this year’s edition is “When Dreams Take Root” and it will explore the intersection of natural, cultural and human heritage, LVMH said in a statement.
“With ‘When Dreams Take Root,’ we affirm that our savoir-faire is rooted in places, cultures and gestures that shape the exceptional quality of our products. The Journées Particulières are an invitation to meet the men and women who bring the excellence of our maisons to life every day around the world,” Arnault said in the statement.
LVMH said detailed information regarding the program, participating houses and registration procedures will be shared at a later date.
