The life Dick Van Dyke leads is full of dancing.
And the 100-year-old certainly proved that’s the case during an April 26 outing at a community event in Malibu with his wife Arlene Silver.
From his seat, the Mary Poppins star danced along to a performance before being interrupted by a special guest, renowned musician Herb Alpert, who introduced himself in a moment captured by Van Dyke’s personal photographer Laura Johansen.
“When you’re just minding your own business, jamming away to the music,” she wrote in an Instagram post on April 27, “and suddenly find Herb Alpert introducing himself…”
And Van Dyke even detailed his moves to Alpert, as with a laugh, he told the 91-year-old in the video, “Gotta keep moving!”
For the Dick Van Dyke Show alum, turning 100 in December has been a time of reflection, with him previously sharing insight into how he’s navigated his twilight years.
“I feel really good for 100,” Van Dyke told People in an interview published a few weeks before his centennial. “Sometimes I have more energy than others—but I never wake up in a bad mood.”
