Heritage’s forthcoming spring 2026 luxury accessories signature auction features a trove of unique finds, including a signed Hermès Birkin bag with the accessory’s namesake Jane Birkin‘s signature twice applied to the piece.
The Bleu Marine Courchevel Leather Birkin features the late British actress and singer‘s signature for Mrs. Midori Senga — a longtime friend who, along with her husband, owned the Agnes Hotel in Tokyo, Birkin’s favorite place to stay when visiting the city, per Heritage Auctions.

Birkin signed the front interior wall of the bag, above the slip pocket, with the phrase “Midori Your Friend Jane” in white and “Midori Jane” on the rear interior pocket in silver, per Heritage Auctions. Along with the bag is an inscribed program from Birkin’s 2013 Tokyo concert. The bag is currently at auction and priced at $16,000, awaiting the next bid of $16,500.
“This auction represents the pinnacle of luxury collecting,” Diane D’Amato, Heritage Auctions’ director of luxury accessories, private sales and the boutique, said in a statement. “From historically significant pieces to the rarest limited editions, it brings together pieces that transcend fashion and enter the realm of cultural artifacts.”
