Zendaya broke from the bridal-white stretch of her “The Drama” press tour on Friday in Rome, wearing black Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps at Campidoglio with a black-and-white look from Francesco Murano’s fall 2026 collection.
Zendaya’s pair appeared in black satin, cut with a sharply pointed toe and a deep vamp that exposed the upper foot. The heel rose high and thin with Christian Louboutin’s signature red sole visible at the back edge. From the side, the pitch looked steep even by So Kate standards, with no platform, strap or hardware interrupting the silhouette. Christian Louboutin describes the So Kate as a 120 mm pump with a pointed toe, low-cut vamp and slender stiletto heel; the style takes its name from Kate Moss and remains one of the house’s defining shoes.

Zendaya paired the pumps with Francesco Murano tailoring that kept the same narrow line. Her black jacket featured peaked lapels, a tightly shaped waist and long sleeves with slightly flared cuffs. Underneath, she wore a white high-neck top with an extended draped panel. Her matching black trousers ran long and straight, nearly covering the back of the pumps as she climbed the steps of Campidoglio.

The switch back to black mattered because Zendaya’s recent press-tour shoe story had largely moved in the opposite direction. Earlier this month, she wore white So Kate pumps to the 2026 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards and white Miss Z pumps while heading to “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” extending the bridal-coded wardrobe that has defined her appearances for “The Drama.” She broke from that run once before at the Louis Vuitton fall 2026 show in black leather pumps, but Friday’s black satin So Kates brought her back to one of her longest-running signatures instead of the newer Miss Z style — a pump long rumored to reference Zendaya, though Christian Louboutin has said the name refers to Gen Z.
Zendaya is promoting “The Drama,” an A24 film with Robert Pattinson about an engaged couple whose wedding week is disrupted by a major revelation. The film opens in theaters on April 3.
