Runway-Approved Ring Watches to Shop for Spring 2026
Keeping the time just got even more stylish, thanks to the resurgence of a particular accessory that was featured on the NYFW runways this year: the ring watch, which originated in the 1700s and saw a boom in popularity during the ’90s and the Y2K era alike.
Capturing the worlds of fine jewelry and horology in one attractive, finger-sized package, ring watches have been embraced by heritage brands from Rolex and Fossil to Casio and Cartier, with modern labels also rolling out their own iterations as of late. One such clock ring maker is Breda, which doles out “refreshing takes on beloved classics,” meaning every last one of its timepieces fuses vintage-coded sophistication with 21st-century appeal. During the fall 2026 NYFW circuit, Breda’s watch rings received a fortuitous placement in the AKNVAS show: a womenswear destination founded by the Danish designer Christian Juul Nielsen, who cut his teeth at Oscar de la Renta and Christian Dior.
Considered one of Breda’s hero products, the Nocturne Time Ring — coming with the option of a red, amber, or smoke-colored crystal — was worn on the runway in multiples at one time, creating a visual feast that drew in the eye and made as much of a statement as those more-is-more faux fur coats in a B&W skunk print.

What makes the accessories unlike anything else showcased by AKNVAS? They’re the true definition of ready-to-wear, meaning you can shop them online today for $150 a pop: proceeding to indulge in high-end and practical details like an 18-karat gold-plated case, minimalist watch hands, an expandable band, Japanese movement, and textural ridges that add to the chronometer’s aesthetic allure at large.
We certainly recommend grabbing more than one, so as to ace the just-passed Fashion Week’s ring-stacking equations, which is easier than ever given that Breda has other time rings in its lineup besides the aforementioned Nocturne. Its collaboration with contemporary jewelry brand Dalmata, for instance, will bless all your springtime ‘fits with a touch of emerald (the highly prized, luxury gemstone is making waves across rings, pendants, and even tennis bracelets as we speak). And if you wish to extend the metaphor of time somewhere beyond your hands, make it your neck: what with one of Breda’s Time Chokers, akin to those spotted on Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Tyla.
AKNVAS’ partnership with Breda was nothing if not well-planned and thoughtful. According to the latter, “[Nielsen] described the rings as symbolic of time slipping away, a quiet but powerful layer within the narrative arc of the show.” The theme of the collection, after all, was Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen,” which, like most fairy tales, derives its meaning from the transformations that happen to its protagonists across time — with the most resonant moments often occurring just as they are about to run out of it.
Clock rings, functioning as unique and whimsical wristwatch alternatives, are witnessing a renaissance at a time when people aren’t just reserving the real estate on their fingers for engagement rings or wedding bands: instead leaning into health tech like Oura Rings and maximalist ring silhouettes like the Tot e Moi. We’ve seen ring watches worn out and about by It-girl style influencers, who use them to amp up casual-cool outfits made up of a tee and some baggy jeans or as part of fancier getups for evening weekend plans. Since Fossil started releasing its special-edition ring watches — tapping everyone from Barbie to Nick Jonas and Disney for the task — people started falling in love with the adornments’ more playful side, not to mention mini-watches’ unisex wearability and gift-worthiness.
This spring, if you want to brag to all your friends that your jewelry box‘s latest conversation piece came straight off the runways, Breda’s Nocturne Time Ring is the answer.
