The Clarksville High Lady Wildcats’ basketball season came to an end with a 33-32 loss to Whitehaven High School in a sectional game. The Wildcats were dominant defensively in the first half, building an 18-10 lead, but Whitehaven outscored them 13-2 in the third quarter to take the lead. Despite a tough loss, Clarksville finished with a 26-2 record and seniors Malon Smith and Sierra Gregg leave with a 4-year streak of district and region championships, as well as two state tournament appearances. Coach Brian Rush praised the team’s effort, saying they “matched their physicality” but ultimately came out on the wrong end of the game.
