The Taylorville chapter of the Illinois Federation of Business Women (IFBW) is hosting its fifth Spring Fashion Show on April 5 at the Ministry Center of the First United Methodist Church. The event will feature local, women-owned businesses and a silent auction, with all proceeds going towards IFBW’s programs, including scholarships and micro-loans for women-owned businesses. The chapter’s president, Tyler Frump, and vice president, Kayla Magraw, are excited about the event and the opportunity to showcase local businesses and women’s leadership. The fashion show will also feature a catered meal and a photobooth, and is open to the public for a $50 ticket price. In addition, IFBW is seeking male models to showcase local men’s fashion and volunteers to help with the event. Anyone interested in participating can contact IFBW through their Facebook page or email. The event aims to promote community empowerment and support local businesses, and is expected to draw a diverse crowd of women and allies.
