Henson arrived at the event, which took place at Planet Hollywood Times Square on Tuesday, wearing the Aquazzura‘s The Spy Pump 105. The Spy Pump is crafted in Italy from soft suede in a rich black shade. The shoes’ most identifiable and most charming feature is the sheer mesh inserts around the vamp and at the back of the shoe, which highlight the curves of the foot. The style is shaped to a pointy toe and is balanced on a pin-thin stiletto measuring 4.1 inches. The Spy Pumps retail for $970.

The Spy pumps represent the essence of Aquazzura shoes, which usually follow classic, timeless and traditional silhouettes but are made new through small details and designs that make them look modern and unique. Henson wore the same shoes with Hervé Léger‘s Faye black dress with fringe to the third annual Building the Change Gala at the Rainbow Room in early March, which also took place in New York City.

For the press junket on Tuesday, Henson paired the heels with a beige 3.1 Phillip Lim Patchwork Sleeveless Belted Utility Dress. The garment featured a silhouette reminiscent of a classic trenchcoat, but transformed into a button-down dress with a V-neck cut and finished in two-toned patchwork, which adds depth and contrast. A belted waist added shape to the look, while the handkerchief hem provided fluidity and motion.

The Debbie Allen-directed revival of Wilson’s classic stars Henson alongside Cedric the Entertainer, with previews starting on March 30 at the Barrymore Theatre. Opening night is set for April 25. The Broadway show also stars Tony winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson and Tony nominee Joshua Boone. It will have a 15-week limited engagement that runs through July 12.
