European sportswear and fashion retailers stocks jumped on Thursday after US President Donald Trump temporarily paused tariffs on various countries. Adidas’ shares rose 10%, while Puma and JD Sports both climbed 11%. Fast-fashion retailers H&M and Inditex also saw significant gains, with their shares up 6% and 4%, respectively. This comes after Trump’s initial announcement of tariffs on key manufacturers of sportswear and apparel, such as Vietnam and Indonesia, caused their shares to plummet. Online fashion marketplace Zalando also rose 10%.
