Nike x Swarovski Air Jordan 1 High Shoe Release: Price, Where to Shop

Remember the Y2K era’s fascination with covering everything in rhinestones: from tracksuits and jeans to baby tees and flip phones? Well, bedazzlement is back and looks better than ever, baby, with some help from Nike and Swarovski’s latest collaboration shoe: the women’s Air Jordan 1 High OG that’s, as of today, available to shop online in Swarovski crystal–covered form.

To be sure, the relationship between the two mega-brands isn’t anything new. They started talks back in 2013 and, in the decade-plus since, have released a myriad of flashy, quick-to-sell-out interpretations of key styles — from the Air Max 97 and Air Force 1 to the Pegasus Premium and Air Jordan 1 Low. Now, Michael Jordan’s first-ever Nike sneaker has undergone the same kind of head-to-toe transformation… and something this statement-making won’t stay on shelves for too long (mark our words).

Why we love the fresh, clean kick? Unlike some previous Nike x Swarovski models, it doesn’t take too heavy-handed of an approach to those crystal adornments in various sizes (high-quality; precision-cut; Austrian-made), so as to keep the leather upper only partially blinged out and allow its subtle, gray-and-white touches to peek through.

The intricate topography of Swarovski’s signature material (sealed with a kiss by an elevated Jumpman logo) is reason enough to not think twice about dishing out a cool grand on the Nike x Swarovski Air Jordan 1 High OG Shoe, but the comfort-forward features here only add to its case. A padded ankle collar, lightweight cushioning in the midsole, 360-degree support, and high-traction outsole for holding your ground on any surface — basketball court, city sidewalk, you name it — come together to deliver top-notch functionality. All things considered, the release effectively teams eye-candy haute couture with athleticism for something that will stop every game and turn every head in the room.

Because no sneaker of this caliber (and purchase of this amount) would be complete without some extra bells and whistles thrown in for good measure, the Nike x Swarovski Air Jordan 1 High OG arrival comes with a silver chain that boasts a central, crystal-encrusted pendant and three Air Jordan–branded dust bags: one for each shoe, of course, and the accessory in question.

A silver pendant necklace is included with the purchase of the $1,005 Nike x Swarovski Air Jordan 1 High OG Shoe.

Your street style for spring? Secured, all thanks to the most recent manifestation of Nike and Swarovski’s fortuitous and long-running partnership. And for those who are reading this too late to snag the kicks directly at nike.com, there’s one more chance to do so at the premiere sneaker marketplace StockX.

If you’re anything like us, this more-is-more drop has got you thinking about the more opulent things in life: popular Swarovski buys included. Take this as a sign, then, to round out your new footwear with other Swarovski collaborations like made-for-concerts earplugs and Shrek-themed figurines. (You just saw a legacy, circa-1985 basketball shoe swathed in crystals; do you think anything is off the table?)
