Miley Cyrus got the best of both worlds on her Hannah Montana tour.
After all, the former Disney star recently revealed plenty of secrets about her former TV series, including how she managed to get former boyfriend Nick Jonas and the Jonas Brothers to join the show’s 2007 live tour.
“The reason that the Jonas Brothers were on tour with me was because Nick was my boyfriend,” Miley, who dated Nick from 2006 to 2008, shared during the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special that hit Disney+ March 24, “and I wanted to not leave my boyfriend.”
And so Miley’s romance with Nick actually assisted in getting exposure for his band alongside brothers Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas.
“I’d be like, ‘OK, well I’ll go on tour if my boyfriend can come,’” Miley recalled. “And they’re like, ‘Cute, have your boyfriend open for the show.’ Boom.”
Indeed, the Jonas Brothers not only opened the show, but also performed their duet “We Got the Party,” alongside Miley—who performed as herself and her alter ego—during the show itself.
