Margot Robbie was really leaning into the whole long, flowing hair thing while she was promoting Wuthering Heights, more or less cosplaying as her own character at the premieres and during interviews. And I get it! There’s something so timeless and romantic about hair that almost audibly tumbles down one’s back. But now that the Wuthering Heights pandemonium is behind her, her hair… isn’t.
No one was surprised to see Robbie, a Chanel ambassador, at the fashion house’s Paris Fashion Week show on Monday, March 9. But everyone was surprised to see just how dramatically she’d cut her hair. After months and months of being seen with super-long strands, it’s suddenly chopped—in the good way.
That’s right: Instead of blown-out, flawlessly heat-styled feet of hair, Robbie is keeping the bob trend going strong with slightly textured, style that lands between her chin and shoulders. (You can call it a lob, if you insist.) Hairstylist Bryce Scarlett gave her a side part that gives way to imperfectly piece-y bangs that grow a bit longer at the temples, and she kept one side of her hair tucked behind an ear.

As if her loose jeans, sheer, oversized tank, and lacy bra didn’t instantly guarantee cool-girl vibes, this new, significantly shorter hairstyle took it over the top. (And it seems literally cool, too, considering how lightweight that blouse looks, not to mention how much of a breeze she can now feel at the back of her neck.)
