Kate Hudson brought her signature glamour to the 2026 Oscars red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday night, wearing Giorgio Armani Privé.
The jade bustier gown featured a plunging sweetheart neckline and a peplum waist, adorned with ornate stone and crystal embroidery from the spring 2026 runway collection. Styled by Sophie Lopez, the textured dress covered her feet completely, hiding her shoes like a mermaid’s tail on the carpet.

As for her jewelry, Lopez told WWD: “For the Oscars, the jewelry had to feel as impactful as the dress. We collaborated with Garatti to create something cinematic, bold, and modern for Kate. The look was anchored by an incredible 15-carat Fancy Deep Green diamond ring, with custom pieces layered, including green diamond earrings and a statement necklace. Garatti’s stones have such depth, and the couture craftsmanship gave the whole look a dramatic, fashion-forward presence on the carpet.”

For makeup, Hudson donned a full face of Charlotte Tilbury products, including Hollywood Flawless Filter and the recently reformulated Magic Cream. Crafted by artist Tonya Brewer, her complexion was equally as luminous as the stones on her gown. Her lips boasted the same light rose hue that dressed her cheeks, while her eyes were embellished with bronze hues.
Consistent with awards season trends, Hudson donned Old Hollywood-inspired soft waves and a side part courtesy of hair architect Renato Campora. In the official press release for her look, Campora said he combed Hudson’s curls with Parfums de Marly Valaya Hair Perfume sprayed on the brush. “The fragrance elevates the entire experience—because beauty isn’t only about appearance. The sensory element matters, and the radiant aura of Valaya adds that unmistakable star-quality finish,” he continued.

Throughout the 2026 awards season, Hudson styled customized designer pieces from Prada to Valentino and Giorgio Armani. Ahead of Sunday night’s Academy Awards ceremony, the actress attended the Actor Awards on March 1 in a custom-caped Valentino dress, with jewelry pieces by Emily P. Wheeler.
Hudson collaborates with stylist Sophie Lopez, who’s dressed Hudson in pieces that evoke classic design codes with touches of contemporary glamour throughout. The actress’ 2026 Oscar nomination for her leading performance in the film “Song Sung Blue” comes 25 years after her first nod for her supporting performance in the 2000 movie “Almost Famous.”
At the 2001 Oscars, Hudson wore a Chloé dress designed by then-creative director Stella McCartney, which channeled bohemian style sensibility with touches of shimmering glamour throughout.
The 2026 Academy Awards honor the best films of 2025 from “One Battle After Another” to “Hamnet” and more. Hosted by Conan O’Brien, who returns for a second consecutive year as master of ceremonies, the awards show takes place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. “Sinners” leads the night’s nominations, with a record-setting 16 nods including Best Picture. The 2026 Oscars air Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET on ABC and Hulu.
