If you happen to have tickets to Jennifer Lopez‘s current Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, aptly named The JLo Show, there’s a decent chance you won’t be able to get a really good look at her nails. Maybe if you bring binoculars and have a front-row seat, but even then, she’s dancing like… Jennifer Lopez, so they’re going to be tiny blurs. But that doesn’t mean nail artist Tom Bachik hasn’t put painstakingly beautiful details into it.
Bachik shared a post to Instagram first showing Lopez in action onstage, gripping a microphone in a dazzling, very Vegas costume (rhinestones and fishnets and wind machines, oh my). Don’t worry if that photo doesn’t give you a satisfying look at her nails—he also posted a crystal-clear shot of the set before it made it onto her hands.
He started with a classic, translucent pink French manicure base, but elevated that timeless look to a new level with shimmering, sparkling elements. Each almond-shaped tip is topped off in a platinum cat-eye polish to make them extra-mesmerizing, and a row of tiny silver beads serves as an arched border between the magnetic look and the pink polish.

To make the manicure even more glamorous, Bachik added a single gem in the middle of the beads on the pointer fingernail, and he added a row of them across the ring fingernail, creating the illusion of (as you might have guessed) a ring.
Cat-eye nails are already a humongous trend, so it’s no surprise to see the look repurposed for a French manicure. But I think we may have another burgeoning trend on our hands (literally). The faux ring is reminiscent of a manicure recently sported by Kourtney Kardashian, suggesting this exquisite accent could be on the verge of having a moment.
