MILAN ā Bulgari has appointed Jake Gyllenhaal its new global brand ambassador.

He brings depth, humanity and purpose to everything he does,ā said Burdese, who will become CEO of the Rome-based brand on July 1, succeeding Jean-Christophe Babin.Ā
The American actorās body of work spans more than three decades, and includes a BAFTA Award win and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Jack Twist in Ang Leeās 2005 āBrokeback Mountain.ā Since then he has earned acclaim for his performances in films ranging from āJarhead,ā and āZodiac,ā to Tom Fordās āNocturnal Animals,ā as well as āWildlife,ā āThe Day After Tomorrow,ā āSpider-Man: Far From Homeā and the series āPresumed Innocent,ā to name a few. He has also performed on stage, for example in the West End production āThis Is Our Youth,ā and in āSea Wall/A Life,ā which earned him a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play.

The actor joins Bulgariās global brand ambassadors Dua Lipa, named last month, Anne Hathaway, Liu Yifei, Lisa Manobal and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
Over the years Gyllenhaal has fronted campaigns aligned with his personal passions, such as sailing, in campaigns for Pradaās Luna Rossa fragrances, and manual craftsmanship, posing for Ginori 1735 as brand ambassador of the storied Italian porcelain and design home dĆ©cor complements maker owned by Kering.
Bulgari will unveil its Eclettica high jewelry collection in Milan on March 23 with a show and gala dinner.
