Fear of God took an elegant turn, putting the focus on fabric, comfort and practicality. The collection was full of earth tones — with navy blue appearing for the first time in the shape of a twill topcoat — and dark green for loden overcoats.
Jerry Lorenzo called it “The Eternal Order,” and described the collection as “the honest center of our style. It’s precise, comfortable, functional — and very much rooted in our DNA. Lapels are stripped back, and sport jackets could almost be kimonos. It’s meant to transcend time, season and occasion.”
It was minimal and understated with the exception of jeans and a denim workwear jacket in pale yellow, with a brown collar. But yellow has been a big color in Paris this season, and added a pop of warmth to the wintry palette.
Silhouettes were draped, roomy and often minus their linings for extra ease of movement. Suit jackets were long, with broad shoulders while trousers were wide, with some even puddling around the shoes. Jackets were roomy, too. Some had the barest suggestion of a collar and lapel, while others were stripped of them entirely and belted as if they were kimonos, adding to the sense of ease.
Oversize shirts and shackets had a laid-back, but still polished, feel, as did the Japanese denim pieces. They included long line shirts and workwear jackets, and jeans with bleach marks around the knees.
Coats were like big hugs, and included a belted, navy blue twill style that was so dark it looked almost black, while a loden one had a military, stand-up collar. A statement trench belted at the waist fell in beautiful, languid pleats and looked as easy as a dressing gown.
Eveningwear, too, was practical and comfortable, with Lorenzo building on the black jacket and coat he made for Andre Walker for the 2025 Met Gala. This one had an elongated tie that draped languidly around the collar. It was made for a big night out, but without too much fuss or formality.
