The 16th annual Trashion Refashion Runway Show at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington featured designs made from unconventional materials such as burlap bags, hammocks, pop tops, and underwear. The show was produced by Discardia, a project of The Center for Sustainable Living, and aimed to reduce waste and promote creative reuse. The designs were created by community members and IU fashion design students, and featured a mother-daughter duo modeling together. The show was hosted by IU faculty members Yaël Ksander and Cydni Robertson, and featured designs that were bold, playful, and creative. The event aimed to inspire and promote sustainability through fashion.
