Ciara has a knack for finding a good shoe, as evidenced by her footwear choice while hosting a Fashion Institute of Technology gala at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York on Tuesday. The singer was in attendance at FIT’s annual gala honoring Gap Inc. president and CEO Richard Dickson, and she slipped into a pair of metallic silver mules by Maison Ernest.

She opted for the Maison Ernest Lux style. The heels were mules made from a metallic silver mirror leather on the upper and feature a sharp, elongated, pointed toe. The closed-toe mules are designed with sharp, precise and contemporary lines like those in a traditional pump.
The backless design, which showcases the back of the foot, adds a feminine and sultry flair to the shoe. The low-cut vamp creates a d’Orsay-like silhouette, leaving the sides of the foot completely exposed, elongating the leg and adding another flirty element to the shoes. The singer’s feet rested on a black leather insole with a red trim that peeked through as she walked on stage.

The Lux mules are available in metallic gold leather and in two stiletto heel heights, including 85mm and 100mm, with Ciara opting for the taller version. The 85mm version is available in gold and silver, while the 100mm version is available in black satin, and both are currently retailing for $625. The Parisian label Maison Ernest has been crafting its luxury footwear since 1904.
She paired the silver heels with a custom Gap Studio gown designed by Zac Posen for the event. The design was a white maxi shirtdress with a collar and low neckline, a belt that wrapped around her waist forming a bow at her midsection, and a high slit on her dress that was adorned with buttons.
