Canopy, a non-profit organization, is partnering with Lakme Fashion Week to host a panel discussion on “Next Gen Blueprint: Rethinking Materials in Fashion” on March 27, 2025. The panel will focus on the role of Indian fashion designers and brands in promoting sustainable and circular fashion, and how it can positively impact the environment and supply chains. Moderated by Namrata Zakaria, the panel features experts from Canopy, Indian fashion designer Amit Aggarwal, and sustainable fashion star Urvashi Kaur, among others. The event will highlight the potential of “Next Gen” materials, such as low-carbon alternatives to conventional forest-based paper, paper packaging, and textiles, and how India can lead the way in their production and adoption. The panel will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST.
