Altuzarra Taps Marta Lastra as Chief Executive Officer

Marta Lastra has been named chief executive officer of Altuzarra, effective immediately.

She succeeds Joseph Altuzarra who held the CEO role following the departure of Shira Sue Carmi in late 2024. Altuzarra is founder and creative director.

Lastra has been president of Altuzarra since January 2025, having earlier held positions as the company’s chief operating officer and vice president, studio operations. Prior to this role, Lastra worked at Ralph Lauren and Loewe S.A.

As CEO, Lastra will oversee Altuzarra’s global strategy, operations and next phase of growth as the brand builds on its strong momentum.

During her tenure as president, Lastra played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s operational and strategic foundation. She has overseen all core business functions and helped expand the brand’s retail presence, including the opening of a new store in Houston’s River Oaks District and a seasonal pop-up in Dallas’ Highland Park Village.

“Marta has been an exceptional leader and partner,” Altuzarra said. “Her deep understanding of the business, combined with her strategic mindset and operational expertise, has been invaluable to the company. As Altuzarra continues to grow, I am excited to focus more fully on the creative vision of the brand while working closely with Marta as she leads the company into its next chapter.”
