A minivan crashed into a crowd of people in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, injuring at least nine people, including three kids. The incident happened on 12th street near the Santee Alley and Fashion District at 3:16pm PT. The cause is unknown and is under investigation. The van veered off the road and into a group of pedestrians, with the Los Angeles Fire Department reporting all nine victims in fair condition. Five women and three boys were taken to the hospital, while two 23-year-old women were released against medical advice. The vehicle remained trapped near the Santee Alley entrance, with a section of 12th Street blocked off. Several railings and an awning were damaged in the incident.
