Evan Hirsch, a fashion designer, transformed a $6 Goodwill dress into a one-of-a-kind prom dress by hand-beading and adding unique details. He then returned the dress to Goodwill, hoping it would be purchased by someone who wouldn’t normally be able to afford a custom-made gown. Hirsch’s goal is to promote sustainability, accessibility, and giving back to the community. He plans to continue this project as a weekly series on TikTok, upcycling thrift store finds into unique pieces.
