Brooks Running Adrenaline GTS 10 Retro: Available Now

Chances are, when sneaker enthusiasts picture a Brooks Running sneaker, they envision one of the brand’s podiatrist-favorite performance running shoes, and for good reason. Since the 1980s, the Seattle-based sportswear company has been making a name for itself in the running category — momentum which has contributed to nine consecutive years of growth for the Pacific Northwest brand. But after launching its lifestyle division in 2025, Brooks Running is starting to dip its toes into the retro footwear landscape, and its latest offering has just been released.

The latest model to return from the Brooks Running archive is the brand’s Adrenaline GTS 10 sneaker. Originally released in 2009, the on-trend model sports many of the popular Y2K-era “tech runner” aesthetic bells and whistles including a sleek silhouette, mesh-based construction, and metallic synthetic overlays. 

However, the arguable highlight of the Adrenaline GTS 10 reissue isn’t just its of-the-moment look, but instead the quiet internal changes that have been added to make the shoe even more comfortable for everyday casual wear. While the original Adrenaline GTS 10 was the first Brooks Running shoe to use the brand’s DNA midsole, the 2026 version gets an upgrade in the form of nitrogen-infused DNA Tuned cushioning. 

Typically utilized in the brand’s high-performance running shoes, DNA Tuned combines both large and small foam cells. The former provide softer cushioning and are used primarily in a sneaker’s heel, while the latter is a more responsive compound that is often featured in the forefoot. 

“We were able to combine [the two foams] in one process, which eliminates any need for glue that you would traditionally use to combine components of different physical properties,” Bryan Bhark, senior manager of innovation footwear development at Brooks Running, explained in a ’25 video highlighting the then-new technology.

The Brooks Running Adrenaline GTS 10 reiussue debuted on Feb. 19 and is available now from brooksrunning.com and select retailers for $170 in Black/Ebony/Aquarius, Canary Green/Stone/Sunny Lime and White/Dazzling Blue/Breeze colorways.
