Garrett Crochet made his first career start against the Chicago White Sox, pitching 7 no-hit innings before a single in the 8th inning broke up the no-hitter. The breaking hit was by Chase Meidroth, one of the four players the White Sox received in the December 2024 trade that sent Crochet to the Boston Red Sox. Crochet was lifted from the game and the White Sox later scored one run. The White Sox’ last no-hitter was on May 3, 2011, when Francisco Liriano of the Minnesota Twins accomplished the feat.
