A group of seniors at the Grande Senior Living in Brooksville, Florida, showcased their fashion skills on a runway at the facility. The event was organized by activity director Kelly Dunn, who wanted to build the seniors’ confidence and provide them with a fun experience. The seniors, aged from their 80s to 90s, strutted their stuff in elegant and casual outfits, with some even flashing dance moves. Volunteer Phyllis Smith helped organize the event, saying it’s a way to keep her busy and give back. For participant Mary Jane Daigle, a 93-year-old, it was a dream come true, giving her the opportunity to feel like a superstar. The event aimed to build confidence and make memories for the residents and their loved ones.
At a Brooksville senior center, residents build confidence and spread joy by embracing the timeless art of fashion.
