Nicole Kidman is stepping into her side bangs era.
After styling front fringe and a high pony at the “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” premiere on Sunday, the 58-year-old “Babygirl” star pushed her freshly trimmed layers out of the way at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas on Tuesday, where she joined “Dune” stars Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet at Warner Bros. Pictures’ “The Big Picture” event. Kidman also reunited with her “Practical Magic” costar, Sandra Bullock.

Once a fiery pool of strawberry, ginger and auburn, the actress’ hair boasted a muddy mix of blond highlights and brunette undertones. Her ends — waved and tangled — finished just above her lower chest, while her bangs — thin and layered — created effortless movement up top. The look was the handiwork of Kidman’s longtime stylist and WWD’s 2026 Style Awards honoree, Adir Abergel. WWD has reached out to Abergel for a full breakdown of the hairdo.

Abergel first cut Kidman’s blond bangs for the Chanel spring 2026 runway presentation — her first show as a returning brand ambassador. The fringe was then blended and tucked behind her longer face-framing layers for the duration of awards season. It wasn’t until the “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” premiere on Tuesday that the fine texture returned. Here, Abergel and Kidman revived the early 2000s bangs and ponytail combo — the same style Anne Hathaway has been favoring for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” press tour.
Though Hathaway has been collaborating with artist Orlando Pita for her recent appearances, the “Interstellar” star has a history of working with Abergel, as does Bullock. Among Abergel’s greatest hits are Bullock’s slicked side part at the 82nd annual Academy Awards, Gwyneth Paltrow’s low ponytail at the 2012 Oscars, Charlize Theron’s finely-chopped bob and Hathaway’s effortless waves at Balenciaga spring 2026.
