Paris Fashion Week concluded with a series of unconventional and provocative runway shows, featuring designs that challenges traditional notions of fashion. Highlights included prosthetic breasts and “skin” shoes at Matières Fécales, breastplates and feathery collars at Zomer, and lampshade-style veils at Vacquera. Other shows featured garments made from hair, pastel-colored rabbits, and oversized teddy bears, as well as models wearing oversized clothing, including a human-sized violin and a lamp-turned-headpiece. The most innovative collections included LED-powered clothing from Anrealage, which displayed moving patterns on the runway. The shows raised questions about the future of fashion and what we consider “fashionable.”
