Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble ‘Burgundy Ash’ Release Date IB6396-600

March’s Air Max Day restock of Nike’s Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble “Pink Foam” sneaker was one of the holiday’s most popular drops, and now the Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear brand has already queued up yet another pink pair of the classic model.

Official Nike e-commerce images show a new Air Max 95 Big Bubble in a Burgundy Ash/Tattoo/Elemental Rose/Barely Grape combination. Despite the lengthy color description, it’s a relatively reserved look, one which plays upon the Air Max 95’s original gradient fade design with new shades and materials. The style blends a dark burgundy leather with shades of soft purple and rosy suede panels. Up top, brighter pink fills in the sneaker’s signature lace loops, and the same color appears within the sneaker’s underfoot Air bubbles.

Nike’s aforementioned Pink Foam Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble, originally released in 2020, was rereleased this year after a more limited-edition launch in 2025. Resale marketplace StockX confirmed the Pink Foam style was its top-selling product on Air Max Day this year, bringing in 700 sales for the biggest sales day in the colorway’s history. 

For the Air Max 95’s 30th anniversary in ’25, Nike gave the retro running sneaker a long-awaited update which reshaped its heel Air units to be larger than that of the model’s post-2000s reissues, hence the Big Bubble name. This brought the look and feel of the shoe closer to the original 1995 version, and the rework also included an updated profile and toe box shape.

“The Air Max 95 helped shape what we now think of as Air Max culture, especially in the Black community,” James Whitner, founder of The Whitaker Group, told Footwear News last year. “From the moment it dropped, it had that energy. It was bold, expensive, hard to get. So if you had a pair, it said something. I still think that shoe is part of the ‘look’ for certain people. It became a statement, and honestly, it never really stopped being one.”

Despite not having a specific confirmed release date, this Air Max 95 Big Bubble in Burgundy Ash is expected to be released soon from nike.com and select Nike Sportswear retailers for $190 exclusively in women’s sizing. The sneaker’s style code is IB6396-600.
