Converse and Eric Emanuel Reinvent Classic Sneaker Styles

Converse and New York-based sportswear designer Eric Emanuel have reunited, continuing their focus on classic silhouettes through the lens of materialization and detailing. This time around, the partnership homes in on the Chuck 70 and Weapon Ox to reinvent with denim, leather and cobranded details.

The Converse x Eric Emanuel Chuck 70 has been refreshed with a dark blue denim upper contrasted by denim of a lighter wash on the medial side of the upper, the heel strip and tongue. The Eric Emanuel “EE” logo is woven on the lateral side as the medial showcases the signature Chuck patch. While maintaining the original silhouette, the sneaker features cobranded tongue labels and license plates denoting the collaboration.

Next in the collection, the Weapon Ox is pulled from Converse’s basketball archive and reframed for a lifestyle context. The shoe is crafted with a white leather upper accompanied by an aged midsole finish for an understated vintage look. The Star Chevron logo, heel overlay and ankle underlays feature denim accents, and the look is rounded out with a light blue cobranded tongue and outsole.
