We’re not in Barbie World, anymore. We’re not roughousing in the English moors, either.
We’re actually in France, at the Paris Fashion Week Chanel Fall/Winter 2026 show. Margot Robbie is here too, which is a given in any of these settings. But something is different. She showed up with a bob and bangs. A blonde bob and bangs, but a transformative cut nonetheless.

On Monday, March 9, the 35-year-old surprised the world when she arrived to sit front row at the Chanel runway show wearing Matthieu Blazy’s sheer couture “jeans,” a sheer white tank, and her famous blonde hair chopped into a classic bob complete with some piece-y bangs.
The new cut, which landed a few inches above Robbie’s shoulders, was styled with a slight side part and easy-going waves. She wore one side tucked behind her ear, showcasing three tiny hoops that hugged the lobe.
The cut was likely completed by celebrity hairstylist Bryce Scarlett, the mind behind most of her gorgeous styles from the past few years. As a whole, the look felt effortless and very “Margot,” as opposed to any of the beloved characters she’s so good at emulating on red carpets. He knows her well.

Margot Robbie’s Hair Transformation
With that being said, the new bangs and bob are far removed from the long Brontë waves we’ve seen Robbie wearing on her Wuthering Heights press tour. Even when Scarlett gave her a romantic updo, you could tell there were lengthy tresses at play.
Now, her hair is the shortest we’ve seen it in a very, very long time. Maybe ever, actually! She was rocking a lob for a while, but this cut is certifiably shorter. We also haven’t seen the likes of her fringe since circa 2021.

The change is a bit jarring; it’s not what we expected! But isn’t that the mark of any good hair transformation? (Shoutout to Demi Moore a couple of weeks ago.)
Congratulations to you, Margot Robbie, for doing what else of us dream to do come springtime: wearing organza and cutting our hair.
