Jessica Chastain is almost as well-known for her long, red hair as she is for her acting chops, having secured a spot as one of the most iconic redheads in Hollywood history. But it seems the Oscar winner may be ready for a little change—one that comes pretty naturally—and she’s doing it via one of the biggest hair-color trends of 2026: quiet silver.
As recently as December (see above), the natural redhead was seen at events with uninterrupted, flame-orange hair, just as we’ve grown to know and love for years. But in the last week or so, Chastain has been subtly leaning into what may or may not turn into a transition to silver strands.
Last week, she was spotted in New York City wearing the cutest round sunglasses and a Moncler jacket. Her shiny, loosely curled hair was parted to the side, revealing what appears to be a hint of gray, expertly blended into her red.

And today, attending the Zimmermann show at Paris Fashion Week alongside Naomi Watts and Lily James, Chastain continued to let her roots appear lighter, with the teensiest silver highlights and without the I-gotta-get-to-the-salon line of demarcation.
