14 March Beauty and Style Launches to Welcome Spring

One of the most important things I learned in kindergarten is that March “comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.” Or vice versa, obviously—another thing I learned in kindergarten is that there are a lot of rules in the world that don’t always make sense. The new crop of March beauty and fashion launches are a great example; they’re lion-core, all the way through.

That’s not to say there isn’t some necessary softness mixed in—you’ll find it in the form of silky bikini tops, glowy blush, and cotton underwear. But these new offerings all roar in their own way. (That’s a good thing; they’re making their mark.)

At first, I thought this lace-trimmed bikini top gave mermaid—the most it could give mermaid without being a literal seashell, anyway. But now… I think it gives something else that’s similarly ethereal but all its own? Maybe some sort of gorgeous creature that dwells in the Swedish archipelagos? This is Elsa Hosk‘s Montce collection, after all, blending “romantic coastal nostalgia with modern seaside dressing.” Its full of butter-y shades, silky fabrics, and soft textures perfect for soaking up the midsommar sun.

Another iconic Swede: Maria Nila. Moon Juice Lemon Neuro Magnesi-Om

A fact I was not excited to learn recently: cognitive ability peaks at 25 and declines by 1% every year from there. Between that and collagen… I feel like I am falling apart a little? But whatever, we don’t have to talk about it.

Too Faced Love Flush Glowing Liquid Blush

“Flush” and “glow” are two of my favorite word associations for blush. “Natural-looking,” too. Huha Spring Bikini 3-Pack

Huha came to be after its founder dealt with a string of recurring UTIs. She knew she had to make the switch to breathable underwear, but they were all so… “frumpy.” So, she dreamed up Mineral Undies: super-soft, ultra-breathable, and knitted (with full-coverage liners, mind you!) with antimicrobial zinc oxide for a fresh feeling.
